Open Mic

For all of the math students worrying about finals...

I’ve attached the sign-up sheet for next week’s open mic below. Keep in mind that I’d like you to speak for about three to five minutes, though, in all honesty, this should be a low-pressure situation. Consider it a conversation between colleagues. There’s no need for visuals [though you can bring something if you’d like] or anything else. Feel free to make this as informal as you’d like, though, let’s be clear, you should make every attempt to clearly and concisely impart the basics of your project [i.e. the who, what, where, when, why, how].

If you were not in class Thursday, or if you forgot to sign up, plan on sharing your work with the class on Tuesday [sorry, Thursday is filled].

Keep in mind that we’ll be doing evaluations at the beginning of class Tuesday, so please don’t be late.

Finally, for those of you who were not in class Thursday, I’ve moved the due date for the Final Project back to Monday, December 13th, at 5 p.m. I’m hoping that the extra weekend will allow you to take a load and give you the space to write or create your best work. For those of you who are doing art projects, show me your projects on Thursday, but take until Monday to write and submit your papers.

See you Tuesday…
